Beer Brats with Onions

This Minnesota favorite has never been one of mine but this year for Fathers day I cooked up a batch for the fam. They were a big hit and super easy. Based on the recipe: Beer Braised Brats. I served them with Cheesy Packet Potatoes.

  • 1 package brats
  • 1/2 sliced red onion
  • 1 bottle IPA Beer

  1. Use fork to prick brats on all sides.
  2. Place brats, onions and beer in large pot.
  3. Cook over low heat for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove brats and grill over medium/high heat.
